What Are Special-Shaped Pieces?

Special-shaped parts are those parts that are "unruly-looking" and "complex to process". They represent technical challenges in the field of mechanical processing and require the comprehensive use of advanced processing equipment (multi-axis CNC, special processing, additive manufacturing), superb process planning, CAM programming skills and rich experience to manufacture. As product design increasingly pursues lightweight, functional integration and high performance, the application of special-shaped parts is becoming increasingly widespread.

The core criteria for determining whether a part is a special-shaped part:

Is the processing difficulty significantly higher than conventional parts? Do special equipment, complex processes or multiple clamping need to be used? Does geometric shapes go beyond the scope of simple basic geometry? Does the above complex features include? Can it be completed efficiently and accurately using traditional and economical processing methods?
